It has been announced that Ayaka Hamasaki (freelance) will be competing against Korean assassin Lee Yeji (affiliated with TEAM aom) at DEEP JEWELS 51, which will be held at New Pier Hall in Tokyo on Sunday, November 23rd!
This will be Hamasaki's comeback fight since her first appearance in about 10 years in March this year at DEEP JEWELS, where she was defeated by submission to jiu-jitsu specialist Suda Moeri ( affiliated with Scorpion Gym).
Her opponent, Lee Ye-ji, is on a roll, having aggressively attacked Hamasaki and her former AACC alumnus Saori Oshima (Reversal Gym Shinjuku Me,We) at DEEP in May of this year, winning by unanimous decision. She is not to be underestimated, but will she be able to put her pride as a former Invicta FC/RIZIN champion on the line and win her comeback bout? Stay tuned to see!
