Miyuu Yamamoto, a wrestler who has represented Japan and won the World Wrestling Championships three times, and who has had many memorable matches since switching to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2016, has announced that she will be taking on the challenge of boxing in earnest.
Even after retiring from MMA on New Year's Eve 2023, Yamamoto's challenge was far from over. He continued to pursue his long-held dream of boxing, and began serious training. Then, on March 28th of this year, he made his professional boxing debut in Australia, taking the first step in a new athletic career.
